Mindfulness means intentionally paying attention to your present-moment experience with mindful attitudes such as acceptance, curiosity, self-compassion and openness.
We spend up to 47% of our lives in auto pilot. In this auto pilot mode our minds are preoccupied with the future – planning and possibly worrying about the “what if”, and, when we’re not there we may be ruminating about the past “I should have, why didn’t I do that?
In these modes of mind we miss out on what truly matters, and what can actually make a “real” difference to our lives, and that is the present moment.
All the latest neuro scientific research shows that practicing mindfulness makes people happier, less stressed and more resilient to the inevitable challenges of life.
In our mindfulness session we will learn the basic tools and skills of how to become aware of the present moment, how to notice habitual unhelpful patterns in our thinking, and what to do to live a more full and satisfying life.
